The World: South America
South America is one of the smaller continents and consists of twelve independent states. In this film, we will be taking a look at the nature, climate, history, population and resources of this continent. We will also be going on a tour, visiting some of the countries in South America. For example, we will be taking a look at the ruined city of Machu Picchu and diving into the ocean around the Galápagos Islands. Did you know that the most species-rich places in the world are to be found here? Or that it rains so little in the Atacama Desert that the rainfall cannot even be measured.
