We need bridges to make it easier to get places. But how does a bridge really work? This video shows different bridge structures. We look at what types of bridges there are and the difference between a bridge and a viaduct. We learn many terms, such as abutting face, bridge deck and span. We’ll see examples of what happens when a bridge isn’t designed correctly, and some special bridges around the world.
